Tyler Mcfayden received VTCAR SEED Student award

Please join me in congratulating this year’s 2019-20 VTCAR SEED Student Award recipient. Tyler McFayden  is working with mentor Dr. Robin Panneton and co-mentor Dr. Tom Ollendick. Her study is titled “Social & Nonsocial Multisensory Integration in Toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorder.” Tyler has also been named the VTCAR Student Fellow of the Year.

Dr. Martha Ann Bell receives fellowship from Board of Visitors to support research

Six faculty members in the Virginia Tech College of Science were honored with faculty fellowships by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors, one of the six was our very own, Martha Ann Bell.

Dr. Rosanna Breaux receives 2019 CHADD Young Scientist Research Award

Dr. Breaux was selected from a pool of well-qualified applicants by renowned experts in the field, for making contributions to understanding Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The award includes recognition in their Attention Magazine and at the 2019 Annual International Conference on ADHD in Philadelphia, PA where Dr. Breaux will  present her research during the award ceremony.

Dr. Martha Ann Bell selected as College of Science Faculty Fellow

The College of Science established this fellowship to recognize faculty dedicated to extraordinary research and teaching.  Dr. Bell’s research is centered on developmental cognitive neuroscience where she studies frontal lobe functioning. Dr. Bell has been selected to receive the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology Senior Investigator Award for 2019. This award celebrates her significant and sustained contributions to the field of developmental psychobiology.

The award presentation will be at the 2019 annual meeting in October in Chicago.
