Congratulations to Hayoung Ko for receiving approval for funding ($20,000) from the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute-Center for Health Behaviors Research (FBRI-CHBR) Pilot and Feasibility (P+F) Program. Her proposal entitled “Measurement Based Care for Depressive and Anxiety Disorders: An Evaluation of Effectiveness and Mechanisms of Change” will be in collaboration with Carilion Clinic’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. This funding will support Hayoung’s dissertation project, comparing adult ambulatory patients receiving evidence-based psychotherapy plus standardized measurement-based care or evidence-based psychotherapy but without measurement-based care, along with a waitlist control group. Drs. Anita Kablinger (Carilion Clinic) and Lee Cooper (Virginia Tech) will serve as Co-PIs.
