Faculty members Vanessa Diaz and Sam Kempker-Margherio, and psychology graduate students Madeline Netto and Sahar Hafezi visited three kindergarten classrooms at Eastern Elementary in Giles County.
This visit was part of the Girls Launch! Program, a long term collaboration between Faculty member Vanessa Diaz and the Center for Communicating Science at Virginia Tech. The program brings female scientists to present on science topics to kindergarteners.
Their interactive presentation was called “Parts of the Brain - What Does it Do?!”, and both presenters and students had a great time.
