The SCANlab and Child Study Center at Virginia Tech are recruiting teens between the ages of 13 and 17 to participate in a research study about social anxiety and reward processing in the brain (IRB #22-011).

If you choose to participate in this study, your involvement and your teen’s involvement would consist of an online Zoom call (approximately 1 hour) and an in-person session (brain scan and all questionnaires – approximately 2 hours total).  The total length of time for your family’s participation in this study will be approximately 3 hours.

Your family will be compensated up to $80 for completing all parts of the study. To be eligible for this study, your teen must be: between the ages of 13 and 17, socially anxious, experiencing moderate stress, able to complete an MRI, and right-handed.
