There is a small parking lot available in some situations for families to park.  Please check with your lab contact to see if it is available.

From I-81 (Roanoke, Radford)

Take Exit 118B towards Virginia Tech and proceed along the US-460W bypass (not the same as BUS-460) towards Blacksburg.

Proceed along US-460W until you reach a stoplight at Southgate Drive on the right. Turn right onto Southgate Drive. Take your first left onto Duck Pond Drive. Proceed approximately .3 miles and turn right onto Washington Street. When you reach the roundabout, bare a left onto West Campus Drive. Continue down West Campus Drive approximately .3 miles and take a right onto Drillfield Drive. You will now be on the Drillfield. Continue around the drill field until you are on the opposite side.

Williams Hall is directly after Burruss Hall. Please pull up to the side of Williams. Research assistants will be waiting to give you your visitors parking pass, and will direct you to your parking space.

From US-460W (Christiansburg)

Proceed along US-460W until you reach a stoplight at Southgate Drive on the right. Turn right onto Southgate Drive. Take your first left onto Duck Pond Drive. Proceed approximately .3 miles and turn right onto Washington Street. When you reach the roundabout, bare a left onto West Campus Drive. From US-460E (Newport, Pearisburg, Pembroke)

Proceed along US-460E/Virginia Ave. towards Blacksburg, passing by the BUS-460/North Main Street entrance. Turn left onto Southgate Drive at the stoplight. Take your first left onto Duck Pond Drive. Proceed approximately .3 miles and turn right onto Washington Street. When you reach the roundabout, bare a left onto West Campus Drive. Continue down West Campus Drive approximately .3 miles and take a right onto Drillfield Drive. You will now be on the Drillfield. Continue around the drill field until you are on the opposite side.

From North Main Street in Blacksburg

Enter Virginia Tech by turning right onto Alumni Mall. Continue on Alumni Mall, and make a right turn onto Drillfield Drive but keeping the left side and moving towards the Drillfield. Avoid a full right turn, as it will take you into Stanger St. and away from Williams Hall.

Williams Hall is the third building on Drillfield Dr. after Patton Hall and Burruss Hall. Please pull up to the side of Williams. Research assistants will be waiting to give you your visitors parking pass, and will direct you to your parking space. 

From South Main Street in Blacksburg

Enter Virginia Tech by turning left onto Alumni Mall. ( Please note that on this map it shows you coming from North Main. You WILL be making a left onto Alumni Mall). Continue on Alumni Mall, and make a right turn onto Drillfield Drive but keeping the left side and moving towards the Drillfield. Avoid a full right turn, as it will take you onto Stanger St. and away from Williams Hall.
