The College of Science established this fellowship to recognize faculty dedicated to extraordinary research and teaching. Dr. Bell’s research is centered on developmental cognitive neuroscience where she studies frontal lobe functioning. She focuses on typically developing infants and children and examines individual differences in brain and behavior. Her most recent contributions to developmental cognitive neuroscience includes more than 110 peer-reviewed publications from four completed NIH grants. These papers have appeared in top-tier developmental psychology journals and many include graduate students and postdoctoral fellows as first authors.
