Dr. Laura Seligman, PhD, (1999) elected president of the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.

Laura is a Professor of Psychological Science at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) in Edinburg, TX. Before joining the faculty at UTRGV she spent 13 years at The University of Toledo, including two in which she served as the DCT for their clinical psychology PhD program.

Virginia Tech Autism Clinic and Center for Autism Research recognized for the Best Practices in Rural Health Award

We are pleased to announce that the Virginia Tech Autism Clinic and Center for Autism Research won the Best Practices in Rural Health Award from the Virginia Rural Health Association (VRHA)!  Each year at the annual Rural Health Voice Conference, VRHA recognizes outstanding contributions to rural health in Virginia.

ComSciCon-Virginia Tech: A Science Communication Workshop for Early Career Researchers!

Virginia Tech graduate students and upper level undergraduates are invited to apply for the Communicating Science (ComSciCon-Virginia Tech) workshop, to be held on February 27th and 28th, 2020! The ComSciCon workshop is designed to empower graduate students to communicate complex and technical concepts that arise in research in STEAM fields to broad and diverse audiences!

ADAA 2020

The ADAA 2020 40th Annual Conference (March 19-22, San Antonio, TX) will bring together an expected 1,400 clinicians and researchers from across the US and around the world who want to improve treatments and find cures for anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders.

23rd Occasional Temperament Conference

The 2020 Occasional Temperament Conference will be held March 26-28, 2020 at the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center hosted by Virginia Tech. At this conference, temperament-focused researchers, students, and clinicians from around the world gather and network with individuals well-versed in practice and research related to the study of temperament.
